Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 (CPR)

The current enables to issue European Technical Assessments (ETAs) for products which are not fully covered by a harmonised standard (hEN). The basis of an ETA is a European Assessment Document (EAD) developed and adopted by EOTA.

ETAs can issued already based on new or updated EADs which are adopted by EOTA before they are cited in the EU Official Journal (OJEU). This enables a short time-to-market for innovative products with ETA, while the process of citation can take some months or even years.
