Reach and CLP

Manufacturers of construction fixings are in most cases downstream users under the European regulation of hazardous substances REACH.

The packaging of chemical anchors have to fulfil the requirements of the CLP regulation.

An important issue for the manufacturing of metal anchors, concrete screws and timber screws is the intention of the European agency for chemicals ECHA to restrict the use of PFAS. Coatings which are classified under PFAS are necessary to guarantee the reliable functioning of metal anchors with respect to

  • long-time behavior during a service life of 50 to 100 years
  • low installation torques
  • corrosion protection
  • controlled compensation of cracks in the fixing ground
