EADs and ETAsEAD variants – a flexible instrument to cover new characteristics

EAD variants are in instrument to enable a flexible for the assessment of products with new characteristics which are not yet covered by the EAD for the respective product family. Usually, EAD variants are merged with the next version of the basic EAD. ETAs based on such EAD variants remain valid.
